Is this Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship programme right for me? Yes, if:

You work with data in Excel, reports, or dashboards — but never got formal training

Your role is in finance, marketing, operations, sales, HR or admin — not “data” by title

You want to get better at analysing, presenting, or automating data

You’re ready to grow, but need support (and funding) to make it happen

Build career-changing skills without burning out

You’re already busy — and the last thing you want is a programme that feels like a second job. That’s why this apprenticeship is designed to work with your life, not against it. It’s fully online, self-paced, and just 8 hours a week — mornings, evenings, or whenever you find a quiet moment at work.

Learn tools and languages that save you hours

Stop spending hours wrangling spreadsheets. What used to take hours in Excel will soon take minutes with Python. You’ll learn to automate tasks, build dashboards, and analyse complex data using tools like:

Get more done with data — even if your job title doesn’t say ‘Analyst’

You don’t need a technical role to work with data. Whether you’re in ops, marketing or finance, we’ll help you master the tools to analyse, report, and make smarter decisions — starting with what you already know, like Excel, and building up to tools like Python and Power BI. With 1:1 mentor support and step-by-step guidance, you’ll build confidence fast — even if you’ve never written a line of code.

Programme overview

This apprenticeship is structured around four core modules that guide you from spreadsheets to Python, from dashboards to predictive models — even if you’re starting from zero. All learning is hands-on, with projects reviewed by experienced data analysts.

You’ll build practical skills step by step — starting with tools like Excel and moving into Python, SQL, and data storytelling. This programme includes 4 core modules, with optional specialisations tailored to your job.

Core modules

01

Introduction to Data Analytics

In this first module, learners lay the foundation for a successful career in data analytics. Through a structured approach, they dive into the core principles of data analytics, harness the potential of spreadsheets, learn about AI applications, and master the art of SQL querying. With a focus on practice with industry-standard tools like Google Sheets, Excel, and BigQuery, learners gain the hands-on experience they need to tackle complex data challenges.

02

Python Foundations

In this module, learners take a journey through Python, even if they have no prior experience with Python or coding. Through hands-on projects and real-world examples, they gain the skills to tackle complex data challenges using Python. From mastering the fundamentals of programming to working with libraries like Pandas, they’ll learn how to process, analyse, and visualise data in ways that drive meaningful insights throughout the program.

03

Communicating Analysis Results

In this module, learners are taught how to transform data insights into engaging narratives that captivate audiences. They’ll dive into the world of interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI, which will allow them to create visually stunning and informative presentations. They’ll also focus on honing their presentation skills, including the use of effective body language, to ensure that their message resonates with each and every person in the room.

04

Main Analysis Types

In this module, learners dive deep into the techniques used to understand customer behaviour, optimise e-commerce strategies, and drive business growth. From mastering cohort analysis and RFM segmentation to building insightful A/B tests, learners gain hands-on experience with the methods essential for making confident, informed decisions.

The programme offers a good balance in terms of teaching method — self-study vs. group work vs. expert advice, global best practices and local relevance. The cost-benefit balance with government support made it an easy choice.

FAQ

Is this apprenticeship only for young people or school leavers?

Not at all. This Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship is designed for working professionals of any age. Most of our learners are in full-time roles — often in marketing, finance, operations, or admin — and want to upskill for career growth.

Apprenticeships today are recognised professional training programmes for employees at all levels, and are widely used by companies to develop talent internally.

Do I need to be a data analyst to take this course?

No. This programme is built for people who work with data — even if “analyst” isn’t in your job title. You’ll benefit if your role involves spreadsheets, reporting, performance tracking, or decision-making using data.

You’ll gain tools and techniques that apply directly to jobs in marketing, sales, HR, finance, operations, and more.

What qualification will I get?

You’ll earn a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, which is a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to a foundation degree or the first year of university. It’s a respected credential across industries and adds real weight to your CV.

How much does the programme cost — and who pays for it?
